Anthropic has added Claude Cowork to its Claude for Chrome browser extension, allowing users to run the tool from the Chrome sidebar.
Conversations held in the side panel will be saved to a user’s history, and existing skills and connectors will work automatically in the browser. Users can also start tasks in a Claude app and continue them in Chrome, or move work in the other direction.
Max and Team subscribers can use the feature immediately. Pro plan subscribers will get access in the coming weeks.
Claude Code, Anthropic’s coding-focused option, was already available in the Chrome plugin. Claude Cowork was launched as a simpler version aimed at general users rather than programming tasks.
Anthropic recently added smartphone controls for Claude Cowork. Claude for Chrome rolled out to all Anthropic users in late 2025.
