Xiaomi unveils Fold 18 Pro with XRING 03 chip at IFA 2026

Xiaomi unveiled its Fold 18 Pro at IFA 2026 and said it will launch the foldable device in China on September 7.

The company did not disclose detailed specifications, including screen sizes and camera hardware, and only displayed the device to press and visiting dignitaries without allowing hands-on use.

The Fold 18 Pro uses a book-style foldable design and appears shorter and wider than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8, with Xiaomi opting for wider proportions on both the outer display and the inner folding screen.

Xiaomi showed the device in a red finish and included Leica branding on the camera unit.

The Fold 18 Pro will use Xiaomi’s in-house XRING 03 processor, which the company called its “Flagship AI SoC.”

Xiaomi said the XRING 03 combines CPU, GPU, NPU and AI chipsets, but did not provide further technical details. Xiaomi also announced plans to launch its electric vehicles in Europe.
