Adobe brings more than 70 creative tools to Slack

Adobe has launched a Slack integration that adds more than 70 tools from apps including Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and Premiere to the workplace messaging platform.

The integration is available now for Slack Business+ and Enterprise+ customers on Slack’s web, mobile and desktop versions. The tools include features from Adobe Firefly, Adobe Express, Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Stock and Lightroom.

Adobe said the integration lets users complete creative and productivity tasks inside Slack rather than switching to separate Adobe applications. After installing the Adobe app, users can message Slackbot with a task, and Slackbot will use the Adobe tools it determines are most relevant to complete the request.

Slackbot can draw on content from Slack channels and Canvases, as well as Adobe Creative Cloud assets, when carrying out those tasks. Adobe said an Adobe account is not required to use the Slack app, though having an account provides fuller access to the available tools.

Example uses include turning a spreadsheet into a visual, creating marketing or social media content from templates, and carrying out bulk edits on large numbers of images.

The launch follows similar Slack integrations with Canva and Figma that were introduced in June, when Slack added Model Context Protocol support to Slackbot.

Adobe previously announced a ChatGPT plugin that gave OpenAI users access to more than 70 tools across Adobe’s creative and productivity suites.
