🔍 Investigative Report: Yada App’s Problematic Model

Too deposit-dependent” – User Complaints

On the Yada app’s Google Play page, a recurring criticism is emerging: users say Yada requires monetary deposits before allowing full access. According to several Play Store reviews:

  • March 2025:

“I want to use the chat but they say deposit $10 first. This is not dating, it’s money trap!”

  • April 2025:

“You can’t reply until you pay. It’s like a slot machine, not a relationship.”

  • May 2025:

“Terrible! I joined to meet people but they charge per interaction. Totally broke the point of a dating app.”

Feedback consistently points to a paywall that begins before any meaningful interaction, increasing skepticism that Yada is built more around monetization than genuine connections.

Monetization Model vs Dating Goals

The fundamental claim of most dating apps is that they offer free matching, with optional features behind paywalls. Yada, however, appears to impose deposit blocks on even basic chatting, which many see as exploitative.

By mandating upfront deposits, Yada risks turning:

  • Simple swipes → pay-gated interactions

  • Friendly chat → micro-transactions

  • Genuine connection → transactional experience

This is not what people expect from “dating” apps—and early adopters are pushing back, withholding five-star reviews and urging caution to others.

Yada. It is trash! This app is a BIG FRAUD! It’s created to extort people of their money. It is equally restrictive, you can not share any form/type of contact with your acquaintances. It’s all blocked. No continuity. You are only allowed to top up and charged for every text/msg sent ( chatting/sending) messages. It should be sanctioned by Google and/or enforcement agency. It’s unlawful.

This app is good and you also meet nice personalities but it’s not user friendly. Chatting on it drains a lot of money. The money issues are too much.

This app is really helpful because you can make more than 10 friends a day but for me I have coins alright but when I send message it takes like 2 hours or more before it goes or sometimes it’s won’t go at all
