Farewell to Pocket
After much reflection, we’ve made the difficult decision to retire Pocket, our beloved read-it-later and content discovery app. This means the Pocket web app, mobile apps (Android, iOS, macOS), and browser extensions will all be phased out.
Why we’re saying goodbye
For years, Pocket has helped millions of people save and discover stories worth reading. But the way people browse, save, and engage with content online has changed. To better serve today’s habits, we’re focusing our efforts on projects that align with how people use the web now.
Many of the ideas pioneered in Pocket live on. Pocket’s content discovery work helped shape the trusted recommendations you already see in Firefox today, and those experiences will continue to grow stronger. At the same time, built-in features like Tab Groups and improved bookmarks now offer seamless ways to organize and revisit reading lists directly in the browser.
Looking ahead
Mozilla is unique: Firefox is the only major browser not funded by a billionaire. Our independence allows us to build products that put people, not profits, first. That also means we need to be deliberate about where we invest our energy, so we can make the biggest positive impact on the internet’s future.
Pocket’s legacy
What began as a simple read-it-later app grew into something much more. Since Mozilla acquired Pocket in 2017, we’ve built robust content curation and recommendation tools that helped millions discover high-quality writing.
Over the past eight years, Pocket’s recommendations have expanded to more than a dozen countries and five languages, connecting tens of millions of readers each month with articles worthy of their time.
The future of recommendations in Firefox
Although Pocket is winding down, Mozilla remains committed to bringing trusted, high-quality content to Firefox users. We’ll continue our “algotorial” approach—combining machine learning with human editorial oversight—to surface engaging, reliable recommendations on the Firefox New Tab page.

In some cases, it may be possible to negotiate the price of a premium domain. However, the success of negotiations depends on factors such as the domain's demand, the seller's willingness to negotiate, and the overall market conditions. At BrandBucket, we offer transparent, upfront pricing, but if you see a name that you like and wish to discuss price, please reach out to our sales team.
How Do I Transfer a Premium Domain?
Transferring a premium domain involves a few steps, including unlocking the domain, obtaining an authorization code from the current registrar, and initiating the transfer with the new registrar. Many domain name marketplaces, including BrandBucket, offer assistance with the transfer process.
