Aero Contractors Pockets Customer’s N1m After Cancelling Flight
An Abuja-based staffer of Cacelyn Travel and Tours has accused Aero Contractors of withholding his client’s N1,080,675 for over two months.
The staffer, who chose to be anonymous, told FIJ that he had written to the airline company and visited their office to expedite the refund of his clients’ money but they were still dragging their heels over refunding his clients.
According to him, he booked a round-trip flight for six of his clients from Abuja to Sokoto and they were all scheduled to fly for the first leg on July 23, but for some unclear reasons, Aero canceled the flight.

“Right off the bat, all six of them requested a refund immediately. When I contacted Aero, they told me to fill out some documents and get authorisation letters from the clients because it was a third-party response, which I did,” he told FIJ.

“I have sent all the necessary paperwork to Aero since August 18 but they haven’t been forthcoming. Each time I sent requests, they told me to download the refund form,” he said.

“I have gone to the Abuja Airport to meet them in person, but they told me the same thing: resend all the docs via email. All the times I did as instructed, Aero failed to respond. I have tried every alternative and option but to no avail.”
FIJ contacted Aero via email on Friday for comments on the matter, but as of press time, the airline had not issued even a word.
