JBL said its Pulse 6 speaker and light hybrid will go on sale next month for $330, with preorders opening now and shipments scheduled to begin on September 6.
The portable Bluetooth speaker’s main feature is a 360-degree light show built into a lantern-style design with an integrated handle. JBL said the Pulse 6 includes 16 pre-programmed lighting themes, with 10 designed for ambient mood lighting and six aimed at party use.
The speaker can connect with compatible PartyBox speakers and JBL’s PartyLight Stick for expanded lighting effects. It can also sync audio with other JBL products through Auracast.
JBL said the Pulse 6 has an upgraded acoustic design intended to deliver more balanced sound than earlier models. The company last updated its Pulse speaker line in 2022. The new model also includes JBL’s AI Sound Boost technology, which the company said reduces distortion and improves acoustic performance.
JBL said the Pulse 6 offers up to 12 hours of battery life and carries an IP68 rating for water resistance and dust protection.
