Serlzo is carving out a distinct niche by merging artificial intelligence with sales and marketing automation, specifically catering to creators and online enterprises across Africa and emerging markets.

For years, internet entrepreneurs have tackled operational growth by stacking disconnected applications. One software handles newsletter blasts, another processes transactions, while WhatsApp functions as the front line for customer inquiries. Crucial consumer details are scattered across separate systems, while digital courses and member portals live elsewhere entirely.

While these platforms perform well in isolation, operational chaos ensues when they must sync. A potential buyer might find a brand on Instagram, ask questions over WhatsApp, land on a checkout page, abandon the cart, and drift away unnoticed. Similarly, past buyers might want a related product, yet the business lacks any systematic way to spot the opportunity. This leaves user data scattered, marketing uncoordinated, and business owners spending their days managing software instead of scaling their ventures.

This very friction inspired Serlzo. Launched by product engineer Joshua Mba and product designer Richmond Ohalewe, the startup integrates marketing, sales funnels, CRM, and automated workflows into a single interface. At the heart of the ecosystem is Sio, a proprietary AI agent designed to inject operational intelligence directly into everyday commercial workflows.

Rather than merely grafting AI features onto existing toolsets, Serlzo aims to establish an entirely fresh category originating from the continent: Marketing AI.

The initiative arrives at a pivotal moment. The African creator ecosystem is expanding rapidly, with market valuations climbing from an estimated $3 billion in 2023 toward $5.1 billion by 2025, and long-range forecasts anticipating roughly $17.8 billion by 2030. However, the median creator’s earnings reflect a stark contrast: the 2026 Africa Creator Economy Report revealed that around 60% of active creators across the region bring in under $100 monthly.

This disparity does not stem from a shortage of reach. Creators are actively launching masterclasses, community hubs, advisory practices, and downloadable assets. Yet turning engagement into dependable revenue proves difficult when foundational tools fail to communicate. Contacts get logged on spreadsheets, payments clear through disparate processors, and communications stall, resulting in forgotten prospects and missed follow-ups. Serlzo bridges this disconnect by synchronizing lead generation, messaging, payments, CRM, and digital fulfillment inside one central hub.

Joshua Mba’s insight into these pain points developed long before the current AI wave. Having commercialized digital products since 2016 and managed an agency, Mba gained firsthand mastery over audience acquisition, funnel architecture, and conversion optimization. He subsequently spearheaded growth at Stakecut, scaling the distribution platform to over half a million users and handling more than $2 million in gross volume.

Those operational milestones proved that building traffic is only the opening step. Brands also need deep visibility into buyer intent, cart abandonment triggers, and repeat purchasing behaviors. Combining his product engineering mindset with marketing expertise, Mba realized these bottlenecks were systemic problems ripe for automation and machine intelligence.

Serlzo was therefore constructed around how modern digital trade truly functions. In emerging markets, transactions rarely unfold linearly on a single platform. WhatsApp, in particular, serves simultaneously as a conversational channel, customer support hub, and closing room. Serlzo knits these touchpoints together—linking landing pages, payment forms, CRM records, SMS, WhatsApp chats, and digital product delivery around unified customer profiles.

This deep context transforms how artificial intelligence operates within the business. While standard marketing AI tools focus almost exclusively on producing copy, headlines, or imagery, Serlzo’s Sio serves a functional role. Because it resides inside the transactional infrastructure, Sio analyzes buyer journeys and prompts decisive actions—such as isolating prospects who inquired about pricing via chat but never completed checkout, and orchestrating targeted follow-ups.

By grounding intelligence directly into commercial workflows, Serlzo is moving beyond automated content creation to deliver true operational marketing intelligence.
