WhiteBIT coin, abbreviated as WBT, launched in August 2022 through an Initial Exchange Offering (IEO), successfully raising $88.48 million over multiple funding rounds. The initial listing price for WBT was set at $1.90. As of August 2026, the coin has a circulating supply of approximately 118 million coins and boasts a market capitalization exceeding $8.5 billion.

The total supply of WBT is capped at 400 million coins across the Whitechain, Ethereum, and Tron networks. A private sale contributed significantly to this supply, with 54 million WBT coins sold at a price of $1.62 per coin, with the coins vested over eight months. Additionally, a total of 25 million WBT coins have been burned, permanently removing them from circulation.

To support ongoing ecosystem activities, 200 million WBT coins were vested over a period of three years, with gradual unlocks. Notably, on March 13, 2026, 81.5 million WBT coins were unlocked, valued at approximately $4 billion. WBT is currently listed on several exchanges, including WhiteBIT, Kraken, Bitfinex, HTX, and MEXC.

In terms of trading activity, WBT fluctuated between $3 and $6 for most of 2023. In a related market development, Binance Coin (BNB) reached a trading value of $697.01 on August 22, 2026, reflecting a 2.82% increase over the last 24 hours. BNB’s market capitalization stands at $92.89 billion, with a trading volume of $3.53 billion during the same period.

As the cryptocurrency market continues to evolve, WBT’s performance and strategic maneuvers, such as its extensive vesting and burning schedules, position it as a significant player. The ongoing developments and market responses will be closely monitored by investors and traders alike, particularly as WBT approaches new trading milestones and potential market expansions.
