Huawei has launched the SingleRAN 22.1 software, marking a significant advancement in the mobile AI era. This commercial technology solution aims to establish a multi-dimensional capability network base to enhance AI deployment in smartphones.
SingleRAN 22.1 is the first commercial version tailored for the mobile AI landscape, with plans for large-scale deployment to improve user experience across various applications. It integrates Huawei’s latest UBPPi series baseband capabilities, designed to meet the increasing demand for mobile AI services.
This software version introduces six key technological innovations. The first, Ultra-large uplink GigaUplink, features FDD 8T8R technology, Massive MIMO multi-antenna bases, and uplink interference management. These enhancements boost user uplink throughput by over 30%, facilitating a consistent uplink experience of 20Mbps, which is crucial for mobile AI uplink services.
Another innovation is GigaBand Ultra-Large Bandwidth, which allows 4G and 5G users to utilize large FDD carriers through multi-frequency pooling technology. This integration enables 5G deployment on existing 4G spectrum while enhancing the 5G user experience by 1.2 times, ensuring seamless 4G connectivity.
The third innovation, iBeam 3.0 Ultra-Precision Beaming, improves downlink speeds by more than 15% compared to earlier versions through advanced integration of channel conditions and real-time scheduling. This ensures a high-precision user plane, optimizing data delivery.
The Experience Enhancement IDEA technology prioritizes high-value user experiences by controlling rate multipliers for different user and business segments. Utilizing dynamic slicing technology, it can reserve resources for VIP users and businesses, ensuring stable target rate guarantees.
Intelligent Energy Saving technology addresses the challenge of balancing energy efficiency with user experience. It reduces sleep-wake time significantly, achieving lossless energy savings exceeding 10%.
Lastly, RANSpirit, an intelligent agent for wireless networks, offers intent-driven smart resource scheduling tailored to specific users and services. This capability leverages telecom big data models and digital twin technology to enhance resource allocation.
Huawei’s introduction of SingleRAN 22.1 positions the company at the forefront of mobile AI technology, aiming to transform user experience through these advanced features and innovations.
