Google Photos has added an in-app camera shortcut that lets users take new photos directly from the photo picker in several AI editing tools.
Google said the update adds a floating camera button in tools within the app’s Create tab, including Photo Remix and Photo to Video. The new button allows users to capture a photo and use it as the basis for an AI-powered edit without leaving the Google Photos app, according to the company.
Google said the feature is intended for users who need a “quick or temporary input” for AI edits.
